VRF (DVM) systems are the ideal climate solution for large commercial spaces. Capacities range from 1.1 kW to 58 kW offering a highly versatile basis for a wide variety of installations. Certain systems are tailored to offer users specific benefits such as the DVM S (operation in challenging conditions), DVM Water (optimal waterflow control) and DVM S. In addition, VRF (DVM) systems can be combined with a multitude of indoor units such as the Samsung 360 Cassette and WindFree™ Cassettes, as well as Duct, Console and Floor-Standing units.
A Samsung VRF (DVM) system provides heat, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat recovery. It consists of one or more outdoor units; each of these can be connected to up to 64 indoor units. The use of refrigerant piping enables users to cool and heat individual zones. A VRF system modulates its capacity based on the actual requirements of the individual zones. This ensures climate comfort in every space and saves energy at the same time.
Samsung b.Iot Lite is a building management solution for small to medium-sized buildings that is designed to efficiently manage climate solutions and save on energy consumption. It is an open system with various expansion and compatibility options. The customizable dashboard displays real-time data and provides users with a quick and easy to access overview of their VRF/DVM system’s performance. Reports on status, data trends and energy usage are easy to create and export.
The DVM S2 is the latest generation of Samsung VRF systems. The range offers greater energy efficiency, optimized AI technology, and enhanced heating performance even in extreme climates⁶. The DVM S2 comes in a capacity range of 8 – 98 HP and is compatible with a wide range of indoor units.
The DVM S offers a high capacity in a compact design. It is easy and economical to install and operate without compromising on performance. The DVM makes good use of valuable space and is a convenient space-saving option for offices, for example.
DVM S Water comes with a built-in Water Flow Controller that helps control the amount of water used to cool and heat an outdoor unit. The optimum flow of water is automatically determined by the temperature of the indoor space. The DVM S Water can be connected to various applications such as cooling towers, boilers, geothermal loops, seawater and more.

4. A slimmer liquid line can be used between an outdoor unit and the first branch of the indoor units. The diameter of the slimmer pipe will vary depending on the diameter of the pipe that is normally used. It may not be available in certain installation conditions, and it is not compatible with certain AI functions of outdoor units. The DVM S2 is equipped with an enlarged heat exchanger, a high efficiency insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT), an improved power module within the inverter system and an aerodynamic Multi-serration Fan, and utilises a superior Samsung scroll compressor. These technologies make the unit more energy efficient compared to the previous generation DVM S range.
